Travel Guide: London in March

March signals the beginning of spring, and with each month leading into the summer there are more and more things to do in London as the temperatures rise. It’s been chilly these first couple weeks, but the days are sunnier and with the upcoming coronation of King Charles, there’s never been a better time to plan a trip to London! Here are the top things I’m most excited to experience this month:

The Royal Mews: this is where the royal stables, which houses both the horses used for royal duties as well as a look at the historic carriages. Because of the coronation, there are practices for the procession throughout the week, which can give you an inside look at the preparations as well as the carriage King Charles will be riding in.

Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race: the universities at Oxford and Cambridge are known for their rivalry in rowing, and the race on March 26 down the Thames will be one to watch!

Royal Coronation Walking Tour: if you won’t be here for the coronation, this tour can let you walk along where the coronation will be taking place and the significance.

Hampton Court Palace: where King Henry VIII lived, explore Tudor history and walk through the state apartments and marvel at the decor and architecture.

Borough Market: this indoor/outdoor market is open year-round, but with the warming temperatures I’m excited to check it out without completely freezing. They have a variety of stalls with food, flowers, and so many others things to check out.
